Northpaw Supply Found Its Hero Product Before the Market Got Crowded
Two founders, 40 random SKUs and $9k a month. Northpaw Supply used Winning Hunter's product research to spot a dog cooling vest in March, months before 140 other stores piled in.

The challenge
Northpaw Supply was a two-founder dropshipping store with 40 loosely related pet products and revenue stuck between $7k and $11k a month. Every product got a few days of Meta testing, a few sales, then lost its budget to the next idea.
Most ideas came from TikTok scrolling, so they were already crowded by the time Northpaw tested them. Net margin after ads and refunds sat around 9%. As co-founder Priya Anand put it, they kept arriving at the party when everyone was leaving.

The solution
On the Pro plan, the founders set one rule: no product gets tested unless the data says it’s early. Daily sweeps surfaced a dog cooling vest in March with only six advertisers, and Northpaw went from spotting it to live ads in 11 days.
Product Research to find rising revenue and low saturation, with fewer than 15 stores advertising.
Ad Spy to confirm two stores were quietly scaling the same video, with reach climbing for three weeks.
Store Tracker to see that no real pet brand owned the product yet, leaving room for a better page.
Brand Tracker to watch the 10 biggest copycats’ offers and landers once the market caught up.
“The product wasn't unique. What we had was a three-month head start, and by the time everyone showed up, we had the reviews, the pixel data and the best page in the niche.”

The results
The vest brought in $38k in its first 30 days and $214k in July alone, for $610k over six months. Net margin rose from 9% to 22%. By July, more than 140 stores were selling the vest, and Northpaw still led the niche.
